Dear Members & Colleagues 28 April 2005, Thursday 5.30pm Speakers: Nicole Abadee and Dr. Sarah Pritchard Venue: NSW Bar Association Common Room "Public International Law - much ado about a shoe?" Nicole will talk about the increasing relevance of Public International Law in both the international and domestic arenas, with particular reference to some recent events, such as the "expulsion" of the Israeli diplomat, Amir Laty, from a Public International Law perspective. Sarah will talk about the challenges to the international legal order posed by the so-called War Against Terror, and the significance of international law for legal practice in Australia.
