Dear Members & Colleagues President's Message I invite you to join or renew your membership for 2005/2006 with the Women Lawyers' Association of NSW. As regards upcoming events, we are fortunate to have the former head of ASIC, Mr Alan Cameron, speaking on the topic: "The Legal Profession in 2005 - or is it a business?" at our June 9th luncheon and I encourage you to book a table for this prestigious event at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney - tables of 10 available at the member rate of $65pp. Alan will discuss how the profession is responding to changing client and public expectations. The Association is recognised as the peak body representing all women lawyers in NSW and is frequently contacted by the government and media to comment on a range of issues. The ongoing development of our website will continue to improve communication and services, providing further value for members and will include a comprehensive database of NSW legal practitioners. Please fax or post your payment with the completed membership application/renewal form ( I look forward to seeing you on the 9th June and to your continued involvement in the Association. Thank you for your support. Louise Byrne Events
