The peak body representing women lawyers in NSW for the advancement of women in the legal profession.
Dear Members & Colleagues
Among the many distinguished guests at our June lunch, we were delighted to be joined by Founding and Life Member, Joan O'Brien OAM, whose achievements were recognised in this year's Queen's Birthday honours list for her advocacy on behalf of women in the legal profession as well as for other community services. At the age of 89 Joan is completing a thesis on 'Women Lawyers in NSW 1902-2002' to meet the requirements for a doctorate in Law at Macquarie University. To assist Joan in her research we ask you to please complete the questionnaire that has been included in our membership mailout you will receive shortly. We are all indebted to Joan for providing an invaluable historical account of our Association and women in law. Click here for more details.
