Nominations are currently open for the NSW Women Lawyers Achievement Awards 2007 and will close on 30 June 2007. Please click here for further details and the Nomination form.

Following the review and update of our Constitution, we are pleased to launch our new categories of membership and logo. In addition to our Ordinary Individual, Regional and Subsidised memberships, the following membership categories are now available:

• Corporate Membership;and
• Associate Membership for Male Lawyers and Male Law Student.

Organisations that take advantage of our Corporate Membership rates can make considerable savings. A reduced rate is now available for Individual Community Lawyers.

In opening our membership to men since our incorporation in 1952, we are offering a complimentary ticket to our Gala Awards Dinner on 19 October 2007, to be drawn from the first ten men to join. They will also be noted in our historical records.

Mahlab Recruitment Survey 2007

We are pleased to announce that Mahlab Recruitment is again conducting their annual career and salary survey of the legal profession.

Supported by the Women Lawyers Association of NSW Inc. and other relevant industry associations, Mahlab Recruitment will survey hundreds of clients, private practitioners, company secretaries, corporate lawyers and practice development and support professionals.

Released post salary review, Mahlab's survey is recognized as the most comprehensive retrospective survey, reflecting historical trends and salary benchmarks across private practice, corporate and practice development services.

Women Lawyers Association of NSW members are encouraged to participate in Survey 2007 and be the first to access the full report when it is released. Online questionnaires open on Friday 8 June and close on Friday 29 June.
