You are invited to the EOWA and WOSOC Equal Pay Day Event, Tuesday 1 September 2009

The Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency and the Work and Organisational Studies Student Society of the University of Sydney invite you to join their event to mark Equal Pay Day in Australia! Please click here for the invitation and full details. Numbers are limited so please RSVP by 24th August 2009

Last year the EOWA initiated an annual 'Equal Pay Day' which, for 2008, fell on August 27. Equal Pay Day illustrates the number of extra days many women have to work after the end of the financial year to earn the same as men. This year, in Australia, Equal Pay Day 2009 will take place on 1 September, because women now - on average - earn 17.2 percent less than men.
