Dear Members & Colleagues

As another year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support

I particularly appreciate those senior members of the legal profession including from the judiciary who have given their time this year to speak at and attend various seminars and functions.

To that end, I warmly invite you to attend our Christmas Cocktail functions in Newcastle, and in Sydney at which one of our barrister members will be signing copies of her book due for imminent release by Allen and Unwin.

I also draw your attention to our new Find a Woman Lawyer database, available free of charge to all members and designed for both solicitors and barristers. Follow the links below and register yourself on the database.

New "Find A Woman Lawyer" Database

Find A Woman Lawyer is an online database that is accessible via the WLA NSW website. It aims to place lawyers, non-lawyers and clients in touch with women solicitors and barristers who are experts in their field of practice.

The database allows individuals to search for a woman barrister or solicitor by:

- Name
- Practice or company name
- Town

- Region
- Practice type (barrister or solicitor)
- Area(s) of accredited specialty
- Area(s) of practice

While obviously a useful tool for clients who are seeking legal advice from a female practitioner, Find A Woman Lawyer also has the capacity to be used by women barristers or solicitors seeking networking or mentoring opportunities with other women barristers or solicitors.

Listing on Find A Woman Lawyer is available free of charge to members of WLA NSW. Members are invited to register for listing by visiting the WLA NSW website at http://www.womenlawyersnsw.org.au/search.asp or from the home page www.womenlawyersnsw.org.au "NEW Find A Woman Lawyer Online - Click Here"
