The peak body representing women lawyers in NSW for the advancement of women in the legal profession.

Women Lawyers Association of NSW

12 January 2007

Dear Members & Colleagues

I am pleased to observe that the opening of the New Year brings with it the promise of change and exciting times for WLANSW in the year to come.

Our end of year Christmas Cocktails were a great success and an opportunity to meet up with colleagues and sponsors, with new sponsorship developments that will be brought to you shortly.

The passing of the new WLANSW Constitution at the AGM on 20 November 2006, and the results of a comprehensive review of our membership structure to be launched soon, has expanded our categories of membership to cover for the first time:
* Corporate membership;
* A discount rate for community lawyers; and
* Associate membership for male lawyers & students who support our aims & objectives

The message that WLANSW is not an organisation exclusively for women lawyers, but is an organisation about the issues faced by women lawyers is now stronger than ever.

I very much look forward to working with our committee for 2007, which has several fresh faces in its ranks, and to meeting you at our functions and events this year.

Yours faithfully,

Lee-May Saw

President
