Already our Association is off to a busy start planning for a number of significant events you will find scheduled in our event calendar.
Our first committee meeting will take place at the Law Society of NSW premises on 29 January 2009 commencing at 5.30pm. If you are interested in becoming more involved in WLA NSW then please come along and join us. All of our monthly meetings are open for attendance by members. If you do wish to attend, please kindly email our Executive Officer by 28 January 2009 for catering purposes.
Our inaugural event for 2009 will be our jointly hosted cocktail celebration with Australian Women Lawyers on 20 February 2009 which will celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of the Honourable Mary Gaudron QC as outgoing patron of Australian Women Lawyers and welcome the Honourable Chief Justice Diana Bryant of the Family Court of Australia as new patron.
Following our cocktail celebration, the AWL board will then hold a general meeting in Sydney on 21 February 2009 at Freehills commencing at 9am. These events will be closely followed with resumption of our Corporate Lunch Series on 23 February 2009 featuring guest speaker Lucinda Chan and sponsored by TressCox Lawyers.
