Work2Suit Forum: Innovative Business Models for the Lawyers of Tomorrow
The Law Society of NSW,170 Phillip St, Sydney
The traditional business model for most law firms is anchored in the billable hour and centralised decision making. Flexible working arrangements and work life balance initiatives are often expected to operate harmoniously within the conventional framework. This is not always easy to achieve. What if firms were to rethink their business models completely? Speaking at the forum will be two lawyers whose firms have done just that. Cost: $25 includes light refreshments. Don't miss BREAST WISHES - AN UPLIFTING MUSICAL about life, love, loss and silicon…
Premieres April 16 at Sydney's Seymour Centre, followed by a National Tour to Wollongong, Parramatta, Newcastle and Canberra, Perth, Gold Coast, Darwin and Brisbane! In January 2005 AFI award winning actress Anne Looby’s sister, Amanda, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Amanda was at the time a healthy, vibrant 37 year old mother of two. The impact this illness had on her family was devastating and incomprehensible yet empowering, inspiring and ultimately positive. Anne decided that, because laughter can be the best medicine, a prescriptive cure was in order! So, inspired by her courageous sister, she initiated the creation of a theatrical vehicle in celebration of breasts (and those who support them) in order to raise awareness, and in support of research for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (a royalty recipient). Breast Wishes – An Uplifting Musical was born… Valerie Bader (The Wharf Revue, Falsettos), Anne Looby (Company), Chelsea Plumley (Grease, Sunset Boulevard), 2008 WAAPA Graduate Gretel Scarlett and David Harris (Miss Saigon, Mamma Mia) will take you on a witty and heart-warming journey with some show stopping numbers and hilarious, honest and uplifting revelations!

THE BAADER MEINHOF COMPLEX is based on true and compelling events and tells of one of the most explosive chapters in recent German history.
Email comps@iconfilm.com.au with the subject ‘WLANSW’ to win passes for a special Sydney screening on Wednesday 29th April, 6.30pm at the Dendy Newtown. Attend one of our upcoming WLANSW events to win a double in-season pass.
Germany in the 1970s: Murderous bomb attacks, the threat of terrorism and the fear of the enemy inside are rocking the very foundations of the still fragile German democracy. The radicalised children of the Nazi generation led by Andreas Baader (Moritz Bleibtreu), Ulrike Meinhof (Martina Gedeck) and Gudrun Ensslin (Johanna Wokalek) are fighting a violent war against what they perceive as the new face of fascism: American imperialism supported by the German establishment, many of whom have a Nazi past. Their aim is to create a more human society but by employing inhuman means they not only spread terror and bloodshed, they also lose their own humanity. The man who understands them is also their hunter: the head of the German police force Horst Herold (Bruno Ganz). And while he succeeds in his relentless pursuit of the young terrorists, he knows he’s only dealing with the tip of the iceberg.
Based on the book by and in consultation with Stefan Aust. In Cinemas May 7
